This policy explains what personal information Imani Maison collects when you visit our website, place an order, make an enquiry or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

Imani Maison is a trading name of SFK Holdings Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17522465) with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA. SFK Holdings Ltd, trading as Imani Maison, is the controller of your personal information. You can contact us about this policy or your information at contact@imanimaison.com, or by post at the address above.

What we collect

• Contact and account details — your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your account if you create one.
• Order details — what you buy, your billing and delivery addresses, and your order history. Payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card details.
• Measurements — the bust, waist and hip measurements you enter in The Fitting Room. These are used in your browser to recommend a size. If you order a Custom Fit, the measurements you submit become part of your order.
• Enquiries — what you tell us in a contact message, a Bespoke enquiry or a consultation booking, including your occasion, its date, your notes and any reference images you attach.
• Your preferences — your wishlist, and whether you have agreed to receive marketing emails or text messages.
• Device and usage information — such as your IP address, browser, the pages you visit and how you use the website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it, and why

• To take, make and deliver your order, give you access to your account and its order progress, and handle any questions or faults. We need this to carry out our contract with you.
• To reply to enquiries and, if you go ahead, design and make a Bespoke piece. This is at your request, or to carry out our contract with you.
• To send marketing emails and text messages about new collections, launches, events, promotions and items left in your basket — only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To run, secure and improve our website, prevent fraud, and understand how the website is used. This is in our legitimate interests.
• To keep the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services that help us run Imani Maison, and only what each needs:

• Shopify, which hosts our website, checkout and customer accounts.
• Payment providers — such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna, Clearpay and Zip — to take your payment. Pay-later providers handle your plan under their own terms and privacy policies.
• Couriers — Royal Mail and DHL — to deliver your order.
• Klaviyo, to send marketing emails and text messages if you have agreed to receive them.
• Shopify Inbox, for our chat service.
• Cloudinary, which stores reference images attached to Bespoke enquiries (see below).
• Acuity Scheduling, for consultation bookings.
• Our own production-tracking system, hosted with Supabase and Vercel, which holds your order number, what you ordered and any Custom Fit measurements, so our team can make your piece. It never holds your name or contact details.
• Other website services, including our form, wishlist, currency, pop-up and fraud-prevention tools.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Some of these services process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

Bespoke enquiries and reference images

When you send a Bespoke enquiry, we receive the details you enter — your name, email address, occasion, date and notes — by email. We use them only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to design and make your piece.

If you attach reference images, they are uploaded to Cloudinary, an image-hosting service that stores them on our behalf. Each image is kept at a private, randomly generated web address that is shared only with us in your enquiry. Your images are never published or listed on our website. Please only send images you are comfortable sharing with us, and do not include other people without their permission.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work — your basket, your account, your currency — and, with your consent where required, to understand how the website is used and to show you more relevant advertising. You can manage your choices through the cookie banner, your browser settings, or our Your Privacy Choices page.

How long we keep it

• Order and payment records: six years, as required for tax and accounting.
• Your account: until you ask us to close it.
• Enquiries and Bespoke reference images: only as long as we need them to handle your enquiry or make your piece, then deleted.
• Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a record that you have opted out.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email contact@imanimaison.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our website is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before placing an order or sending us your details.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. Payments are encrypted and handled by our payment providers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
