The name Imani, meaning faith, was chosen by the founder when she was just twelve years old, long before the idea of a fashion brand existed. Originally intended as the name of her future daughter, it remained close to her heart for years before finding a new meaning through the creation of Imani Maison.
02 / The Inspiration
The women
behind the maison.
Much of the inspiration behind the brand comes from the women in the founder’s life, particularly her mother and grandmother.
Her grandmother, now in her eighties, has always had an extraordinary appreciation for life. Whether spending the day at home or preparing for a special occasion, she approaches everything with the same enthusiasm, care and attention to detail. She enjoys dressing beautifully, making an effort and expressing herself fully, regardless of whether anyone is there to see it. For her, there has never needed to be a special reason.
