Accessibility Statement

Imani Maison wants everyone to be able to browse, choose and buy with ease, whatever device they use and however they use it. We are working to make imanimaison.com accessible to the widest possible audience, and we keep it under review as the site grows.

Our standard

We aim to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These are the internationally recognised guidelines for making websites usable by people with disabilities.

What we have done

  • Text and important details are coloured to meet the guidelines' contrast levels against their backgrounds.
  • The site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are, and a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
  • Images carry text descriptions, and forms have clear labels and written error messages.
  • Buttons and controls are large enough to tap comfortably.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's carousels, videos and moving effects stay still.
  • The site works when zoomed and on screens of every size.

The site was last tested against these guidelines in October 2026, using automated checks and by hand.

Accessibility options

The Accessibility link at the foot of every page opens options you can set to suit you: larger text, more line spacing, a plainer font, high contrast, highlighted links, and stopping animations. Your choices are remembered on your device.

You can also use the accessibility features already on your computer, phone or tablet, such as a screen reader, zoom or larger text, colour settings and reduced motion. The W3C's guide Better Web Browsing explains how.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site are provided by other companies, including Shopify's secure checkout, the live chat, the currency selector and the wishlist. We choose these providers with care, but we cannot fully control how accessible their features are. If something in one of them gets in your way, please tell us and we will help you another way.
